Tony Quarrington and Zoey Adams make up the prolific and eclectic musical duo, Q&A.  He is an accomplished jazz guitarist, composer and songwriter, and hundreds of credits on recordings in all genres.  She brings to the duo her vast experience in theatre, movies, radio, and corporate entertainment. They are now co-writing and performing the original tunes that are the core repertoire of Q&A.

Their next release on Sonic Peach Music is an ambitious project consisting of 15 original tunes, being released on 3 individual EPs of 5 tunes each.   They enlisted the help of some truly accomplished musicians to accomplish this dream – Stuart Laughton, Burke Carroll, Martin Worthy, Jeff McLeod, Steve Lucas, Chris Robinson, Paul Tarusov, Rebecca Campbell, Amy Laing & Shelley Coopersmith.

ONE MORE JAZZ THING consists of five tunes from big band to swing to ballad.  Trumpet, piano, saxophone, guitar plus evocative vocals contribute to an appealing jazz landscape.

1. THAT PLACE, THAT FACE, THAT MOON (3:15) Medium-tempo Swing *SINGLE RELEASE
   A classic lush Big Band arrangement with a 40’s style vocal, this number features both a stunning trumpet solo and the unexpected kiss of a glockenspiel.
2. EVER, EVER, EVER (4:13) Medium-tempo Swing (with out-of-tempo ‘verse’)
   The jazzy, bouncy vocal, complete with prefatory verse, is sweetened by playful solos on piano, saxophone, and guitar.
3. ON THE WINGS OF A MOONDREAM (2:40) Up-tempo Swing
   A driving, energetic Big Band Jazz number: minor-key, with solid vocal and a compelling solo on electric guitar.
4. APRIL FOOL (6:42) Ballad with Quartet
   This evocative jazz ballad, with heartfelt vocal, features wistful and tender solos on piano and acoustic guitar.
5. TOMORROW CAN WAIT (3:34) Medium-up tempo Swing
   A sweet, full Big Band sound rests on a sonic cushion of saxophones and trombones. Harmonized vocals and an electric guitar solo add to the 40’s vibe of this classic-sounding tune.
